Anterior triangle
The anterior triangle is a region located on the front side of the neck. The boundaries of this triangle are:
- Superiorly - the inferior border of the mandible (jawbone);
- Laterally - the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid;
- Medially - the sagittal line down the midline of the neck.
A deep fascia (or investing fascia) covers the roof of the triangle, while a visceral fascia covers the floor.
